Ceci n'est pas un CV

I was having a chat last week with someone I have known since mid 2016 about podcasts and media production. They were asking how I knew so much as an event manager not a media producer.

When I told them about my years of digital production experience, radio, media, and soundart work I was asked why it wasn’t on my CV?

It is I replied.

Eventually we realised that they had taken this website as a CV, and if they had done this then others will have done so too.

So, to be clear. This is not my full CV; this website was made as part of a very specific pitch I made to a big events company. I didn’t get that pitch and I may write about freelance rejection later. However, I did get a great website out of it that I now realise needs some additional info adding to it.

In the meantime, here are a couple of links to the 2010 – 2015 work I did as part of the Community Media Association. Happily, in 2023 art and radio are not seen as odd partners. This was not always the case.

And one of my favourite pieces from the 2014 commissions programme Modulate. A wonderful piece of sound heritage work by Soundart Radio

During this time, I developed and managed a partnership with the AHRC Connected Communities programme too. We created an archive for their research media you can see it below (but for how long it continues to exist, who knows).

I also co wrote “Guidelines for Making Media with Communities” which you can access here, they probably need updating being 8 years old but apparently, they are still being downloaded and used today. Which makes me happy.
